Trailed into appreciation!!

I heard a scream of delight at her cabin, first thing in the morning. Her face beamed a thousand fluorescent lamps, as she stared into the client-appreciation email. The happy customer had showered petals of praise on her being pro-active, knowledgeable, enterprising and innovative. So much so, that at some point, the appreciation fell short of congratulatory adjectives. Plus, the who's who of our company was copied in the mail. The good times will come flying in soon, for this was big...

... until she scrolled down. I was facing her from behind her computer, and couldn't quite understand as to why the scroll of a mouse would take her expression from an 'Ice-Age' smile to an 'Inisidious' fear.

She then showed me the horror in its entirety. Emerson never knew 'email' when he quoted "Do not go where the path may lead, go instead where there is no path and leave a trail." She left a trail - an email trail. The client, in all haste, had "Replied All".

The trail began with her one-liner to the client: "Dear Sir, This is a gentle reminder on the appreciation email you had promised to send me, copying my seniors."
